Bricket Wood Common
Bluebells! Beautiful little flowers bloom and create a carpet of colour that covers the woodland floor.
It's our busiest time of year, and finding the perfect location has been tricky. Heartwood Forest is the most well known spot in St Albans, but crowds of people, huge quantities of mud and restrictions rightly imposed by the woodland trust prompted our search for an alternative.
Bricket Wood is perfect: A huge space with plenty of open areas for youngsters to run and play as well as full, thick carpets of bluebells. Frequented by nobody except an occasional dog walker, the quiet privacy provided in this wood is unique amongst local bluebell woodlands.
Below is a small selection of shots we've captured in Bricket Wood over the past two weekends.
